Romans 1:16 – Verse of the Day 5/30/13

Romans1-16

This verse articulates two of Paul’s most central convictions, convictions that shape not only the letter to the Romans but his writings as a whole. First, the Gospel is the expression of God’s power exercised in salvation, a power that transforms the lives of those who believe. Second, the Gospel has the power to break down the walls that otherwise divide sinful humanity not only from God, but from one another as well. The announcement of God’s salvation is for both Jews and Gentiles, and all who believe will be saved.

Spend some time in prayer thanking God for a salvation available to all who believe. Ask the Lord to transform your life to reflect His will, and pray for wisdom about specific areas of your life that might need to be transformed. Thank God for the power of His salvation and its ability to change anyone in any way!
