Curriculum Sneak Peek

We’re anxiously awaiting the release of the What’s in the Bible? Church Edition. Are you?

Amy posted over at her blog yesterday asking if you had any questions about the curriculum. Lots of people asked and she answered! Check it out if you are interested in some of the details.

We’re in the final stages of production before the big launch and we just got in our final cover! Take a look … what do you think?

What is the difference between the DVD version and the Digital versions in matters of material? Do both have access to the same websites and downloads? Can you make DVD's copies with both versions for playing from player instead of computer, or multiple classrooms and or backup? same church? Thank you. I will be purchasing once I have these answer. Oh thank you for putting this together. As I told my pastor this is the best material (especially for kids) I have seen put together. God bless

Melanie thank you for the answer! I am going to recommend this for our church as a long term investment. We will probably purchase, but not start using till end of next year. That way the by the time we get to the end of 2012 WITB will have the last part finished up and we can plan to cycle again from the beginning. It also spreads the cost over two years. Now three more questions: 1) is the pirate of history from jelly Telly going to be included the curriculum or sold separately as a church history section? 2) the Clive and Ian series being done for Awana going to be sold here? 3) the jelly Telly is only partly working on the iPad. Are they trying to get it to work on an iPad? (it use not to work at all, but recently the intro works) Thanks for the honest answers

If our church makes a commitment now to purchase this first four weeks of material is WITB committed to releasing a new set every month for the next 13 months? It seems that only four DVD's came out this year out of the 13 planned. I've been burned in the past with some other groups. I love 97% of what I have seen so far and have used the material in small groups. I just wonder if it is going to take two years or more to complete maybe we should wait till it is near completion. Let me know. I really am interested

Theron, Glad to hear you'll recommend it to your church! We will have the companion for DVDs 2-4 finished by February, so we will have a full 16 weeks of curriculum available for spring teaching. Answers to your other questions ... 1. The pirate will appear in some DVDs and not in others, depending on what our curriculum team chooses to emphasize with each DVD. 2. We are considering selling the Awana series on our site and will hopefully have an answer soon. 3. JellyTelly should be fully iPad compatible by its December relaunch. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Theron, Yes, it will be about 2 years before all 13 DVDs have been released with curriculum. Each unit (4 weeks) is made to stand alone, but if you are looking for a comprehensive 13-DVD curriculum it will be another 2 years. Thanks for asking the question! Let me know if you have any more. Thanks! Melanie
