What is it?

The What’s in the Bible? Church Edition is a 13-volume, 52-week curriculum that will take your children’s ministry all the way through the Bible – Genesis to Revelation. Each volume contains four weeks of media-driven, fully customizable lessons. Learn More about the Scope and Sequence.

Who wrote it?

The What’s in the Bible? Church Edition is based on the DVD series Buck Denver Asks What’s in the Bible? from VeggieTales® creator Phil Vischer. The Church Edition is written by Amy Dolan (LemonLime Kids and former Executive Director of Children’s Ministries for the Willow Creek Association) and Lori Bethran (Training & Global Focus Director for the International Network of Children’s Minstry and former Executive Producer & Creative Director of the Willow Creek Association Promiseland & Conspire Conferences).

Who is it for?

The What’s in the Bible? Church Edition was designed for Grades 1-4.

How does it work?

Each volume contains 4 weeks of Sunday school materials. When you order the What’s in the Bible? Church Edition, you will receive 3 discs. One disc contains all of the materials you will need to print for each week. One disc contains all of the videos on a fully-mastered DVD that you will play in a DVD player. One disc contains the same video clips on a DVD-ROM that you can use in presentation software, such as ProPresenter. (You can also purchase the materials digitally, and receive everything through a downloadable ZIP file.)

Each week is broken down into 4 small groups. Each small group begins with watching a video, and then there is a fun small group activity designed to reinforce the Sunday school lesson.

How long is it?

The What’s in the Bible? Church Edition has 13 volumes. Each volume contains four weeks of lessons. Each week contains materials that take around 60 minutes to complete, but everything is fully flexible and customizable so you can make it work specifically for your church.
