2Corinthians 7:13 – Verse of the Day 3/18/13

2Corinthians7-13

Paul spends much of 2 Corinthians telling the story of his missionary travels. Here he expresses his gratitude for the previous encouragement and comfort he and Titus had received from the Corinthians, and he goes on to hope that he and Titus could encourage them in return. The purpose of these verses, therefore, is to encourage Christians to comfort and strengthen one another in the faith as they grow together in Christ.

Do you value the encouragement of others in your Christian walk? Do you provide encouragement in return? Spend some time thanking God for the comfort of eternal salvation and those Christians in your life who have helped you to grow as a Christian. Consider how God might be calling you to pursue deep Christian relationships in order to share this comfort with others.
