1 Thessalonians 3:12 Verse of the Day 10/14/13

1 Thessalonians 3:12 Verse of the Day
&nbsp
In the second half of 1 Thessalonians 2 and in the first half of chapter 3, Paul gave a long explanation for his absence to the believers there. He emphasized that his physical separation from them did not represent a spiritual separation. In fact, he had been greatly encouraged by the reports of their growth in faith, and he had prayed for them consistently. In 3:11-13, Paul concludes this section by offering an example of his prayers for them, and this verse is the center point of that prayer.

Just as Paul prayed that the Lord make the Ephesian’s love increase and abound, those same prayers apply to us as well. As you spend some time in prayer, follow Paul’s example. Pray that the Lord would give you the same heart for prayer that he gave to Paul. Pray that your love for others would overflow and that your life of prayer would grow accordingly.
