Ephesians 3:20 – Verse of the Day 4/16/13

 
Along with verse 21, Ephesians 3:20 represents the climax of the first half of the book of Ephesians. It comes in the middle of Paul’s prayer for the Ephesian believers. As Paul reflects upon the power of God exhibited in his grace and wisdom he breaks into praise.

Our strength as Christians comes not from our own abilities but from God. As we reflect upon what He has done for us it gives us further strength. The irony of our Christian walk is that we actually become stronger as we rely less upon ourselves and more upon God. Spend some time in prayer reflecting on the awesome power of God, praising Him for what He has done for you.
