Isaiah 43:1 – Verse of the Day 8/12/13

verse-of-the-day-isaiah-43-1

Much of the book of Isaiah consists of God’s rebuke of Israel for their unbelief. In fact the verses that immediately precede this one accuse Israel of being blind and deaf to the Lord. In spite of their blind eyes and deaf ears, though, God redeemed his people. Here as always, God is faithful to his promises to save us.

Isaiah tells us to believe the Lord’s promises and not to fear. Spend some time in prayer thanking God for the gift of salvation. Ask Him for the strength not to fear life’s trials and not to doubt that God will provide for us in the midst of them.
