Isaiah 44:23 – Verse of the Day 4/6/13
This verse concludes a section of prophecy that began in chapter 40. For four entire chapters, Isaiah encourages Israel to take hope, for God has promised to restore them from captivity. Throughout these prophecies the voices alternate from those who speak in opposition to Israel to Isaiah’s announcement that God will save those who place their trust in Him. Isaiah calls us to shout for joy – along with the whole creation – for God’s redeeming work!
The whole creation praises God for his glorious works of salvation. Add your voice to the chorus and give God thanks for what Jesus has done to fulfill Isaiah’s prophecy. There are many voices clamoring to distract us from trusting in God’s promises, so as you pray ask God to give you a single-minded attention to the only voice that matters – the voice of the Living God.
