Philippians 4:19 – Verse of the Day 8/19/13

 
This verse is a promise full of hope. From the context we can see that Paul means that God has promised to meet all of our physical and spiritual needs (4:6-7). This promise belongs to every believer who has been united to Christ through faith (1:1 and 4:21). What a wonderful way to conclude the book of Philippians!

Although God has promised to provide for all our needs, it is often hard to believe this. Pray that you would have the faith to trust God’s promises, and the willingness to believe that what He provides us is in fact all that we really need. Thank God for the comfort that comes from this promise.
