Psalm 100:3 – Verse of the Day 8/2/13
Psalm 100 was written to serve as an invitation to worship for the people of Israel, and many churches today continue to use it as a call to worship at the opening of their worship services. The psalm exalts God not only as the king of all the earth but of our own lives as well. In this verse the psalmist acknowledges that the Lord made us, cares for us, and makes Himself known to us. No wonder that the last verse of the psalm exclaims that we should always remember, “The Lord is good and his love endures forever” (verse 5)!
Consider for a moment how mighty and wise God must be to create something as amazing as the human body, or something as complex and tremendous as this planet on which we live. As you wonder at the God who made us and redeemed us, allow your wonder to lead you to praise God and thank Him for the gift of a relationship with Him!
