Psalm 119:11 – Verse of the Day 5/9/13

 
Psalm 119 is a massive commentary on the blessing and benefit of God’s word. This verse is situated in its second of twenty-two stanzas. Here God’s word is the way to purity (9) and a source of rejoicing (14) and delight (16). Therefore, the psalmist expresses a desire to internalize the word in order to better recount (13) and follow (14) it.

Our God has not hidden himself from us but revealed to us Himself and His desires in His word. Spend a few moments in prayer thanking God for giving us such a gift and asking Him for a heart that longs to know the truth.
