Psalm 138:5 – Verse of the Day 2/8/14

Psalm 138 is a song of thanksgiving and praise. David expresses his gratitude to the Lord for hearing his prayers (verse 3) and he invites the kings of the earth to share in his praise (verses 4-5). The Lord hears our humble cries (verse 6), preserves our life (verse 7), and fulfills his purposes for us (verse 8). Therefore we should praise Him and invite others to do the same.

The Lord truly is great, and His ways are good. Follow David’s encouragement, and spend some time in prayer glorifying God. As you pray, consider not only how you might give God glory, but how you can invite others to do the same.
