Psalm 30:2 – Verse of the Day 9/28/14
If you have ever been in a situation where you really needed help but nobody was there to help you, you know how scary that can be. It’s bad enough to be in a situation where you are helpless, and it is even worse when there is no one there who can help you.
This verse comes from one of David’s psalms, and he experienced many times in his life where he was tempted to feel abandoned. Yet in this verse, David reminds himself that God was always with him, that God always heard his prayers, and that God was faithful to heal him. He never had to worry about being truly alone or truly without help, because he knew that God would be faithful to heal and save him, just as He promised.
Do you trust God to be your help when circumstances are difficult? Spend some time remembering the difficult circumstances of God’s people in both the Old and New Testaments. Remember God’s faithfulness to His promises in the past and allow your heart to rely on Him to save you in the future. Thank God for his constant presence and faithfulness to save us and to be with us.
