Psalm 56:4 – Verse of the Day 2/26/14

David composed this psalm at a time when he was surrounded by enemies and without earthly hope of deliverance. In spite of his dire circumstances, here he expresses his confidence in God. There is no reason to fear because nothing and no one in this world can separate us from God’s love.

God promises that we can trust Him, and that nothing lies outside His control.  He promises to protect us, to use earthly troubles to build our character, and ultimately to save us eternally. Thank God for this promise, and pray that you would trust Him when you are tempted to fear.
