This year, we’re rounding up some of our favorite bloggers to get their thoughts on faith and family. We asked them:
Are you squeezing in family fun before summer ends?
Leah of As We Walk Along the Road
We are trying to get as many days of swimming in as possible before the outdoor pools close here. We’d also like to go one or two more times to the $1 summer movies at our local theater.
Kimberly of Living in the Sweet Spot
Summer is going by so fast. The kids and I made a list of things we wanted to do this summer and we realized just the other day we have only done a few of them so we got out our calendar and set some dates. This weekend will be going kayaking at a local reservoir. The following week will be visiting a local dairy farm.
Danika of Thinking Kids
At the end of last summer, we took a giant road trip across 14 states in 17 days. This summer we’re winding down in a more relaxed manner with lots of day hikes, a couple of camping trips, and some spelunking. We love being out in God’s creation and August is the perfect month to explore new places.
Heather of Learning As We Grow, Growing As We Learn
We are trying to squeeze in a few last trips to Kings Island, our nearby amusement park. Also, we’re making as many trips to our neighborhood pool with friends and family as possible. And on the milder days, we’re trying to have extra park and picnic days with friends.
Chad of ChadEddy.com
We’re planning family outings to the zoo and to a local amusement park. We like to go with friends or family, so that means a lot of advance planning and organization!
Heidi of Our Out-of-Sync Life
As summer comes to a close, we are soaking in every last bit of the freedom summer lends to. We are enjoying swimming, relaxation, and our final camping trips and a short vacation with friends.
Allyson of All Our Days
We’re trying to squeeze in more swimming time while the temperatures soar. We’re also fitting in some craft projects and a bit of fun learning.
Jessica of Grace for Moms
We are headed to Disney World next week! We’ve been planning and waiting and dreaming and we’re finally going with my brother and sister-in-law, niece and father-in-law. Cannot wait!!
