Isaiah 41:13 – Verse of the Day 3/7/14
In Isaiah 41, God assures the people of Israel of the certainty of their salvation and reminds them of their calling to be a blessing to the world (Genesis 12:1-4). Although the Assyrians would usher in God’s judgment, God promised to be faithful to restore His people in order that they might be a light for the world. These promises belong to us as well, for we have been saved in order to proclaim God’s salvation to others.
We do not have to fear sin, death, trials, or difficulties because God is faithful to His promises. He faithfully restored the people of Israel to the Promised Land, he faithfully forgives our sins through the work of Jesus, and he calls us to proclaim His faithfulness to others. Pray that the Lord would remove your fears and give you a boldness to share His salvation with others.
