Psalm 139:14 – Verse of the Day 5/7/13

 
Psalm 139 is a song that lifts up God’s wisdom, revels in His presence, wonders at His act of creation, and concludes with a complaint against those who wickedly fail to recognize these same things. Interestingly, the Psalmist includes his own creation – and by extension – the creation of all human beings – as one of God’s wondrous acts. The complexity of human life calls attention to the God capable of such a creation and invokes His praise.

If David could wonder at the creation of human life, how much more should we today given our greater understandings of the complexity and intricacy of human life? Spend some time in prayer praising the amazing God capable of such a creation, and thank Him for creating you in the wonderful way that He has.
